This hotel is listed as 2** first impression is very good the lobby is bright and modern as is the dinning room and lounge. It all goes wrong once you enter your room. The room we had was on the second floor at the front of the Hotel. We stayed from the Friday to Monday morning and were woken up by late night revellers 2,3,and 4 O'clock on Friday and Saturday morning. The room was in need of decoration the bathroom had seen better days but everything worked. Maid service was every day. The breakfast was pretty good as continental breakfasts go the only gripe was the very watered down orange juice. We did eat in the resaurant on the first night but compared with whats available in Lisbon it did not fair very favourable. As we only paid £162 for three nights B+B in the middle of Lisbon we thought it was good value but will try somewhere less noisy next time or request a room at the back.
Lisbon is fantastic full of little surprises that can take your breath away, and eating out can be really cheap or really expensive depending on your pocket or taste. Overall it was a very enjoyable break.

We visited Lisbon and stayed one night at this hotel. It is right in the center of the city. When you exit teh hotel turn right and then go up on the funicular rails straight to Bairro Alto. You can take the funicular but it cost 3.5 euro/person/way and it only goes up 200m or so). Also The Commerce Square, St. George Castle and so on are very close to the hotel.
If you choose to visit Lisbon longer do go to these hotel, it is really close to the subway, and other public transportation means.
DO NOT take breakfast there, it is really poor quality. It's better to save the money and have breakfast in one of the terrases there.
The superior room looks great, the bed is very comfortable. I don't understand why some say they couldn't sleep: my head hit the pillow and i fell asleep easily!
The bathroom is small but very comfortable, it has a shower cabin, no bathtub. Also usual ammenities are provided including a hair drier.

The room is very clean. The location is perfect! The breakfast is simple, but very good!

I stayed 8 nights in one of the new renovated rooms. The room lacked hangers for towels, coats etc, but was very nice and newly renovated. I slept very well there, but I can imagine that some room can be disturbed from that not so nice “nightclub” around the corner. The breakfast included in the price was frugal, or continental as described.
The Hotel is perfectly situated close to Elevador Gloria and plaza Restauradores and Rossio, near to Metro, Buses and Trams.
