Were sent to that hotel when the hotel we originally booked was overbooked.
The hotel is close to the subway, bus and tram lines and very close to the Baixa (the main shopping and restaurant area in Lisbon) and there lies the problem. You hear and feel a deep rumble every time a subway train runs underneath the hotel (roughly every 10 mins between 6h00 am and 1h00 am). The corner where the hotel is located also seems to be a rallying point for prostitutes and the usual crowd they attract.
The hotel is otherwise OK. It is nicely decorated with blue Portugese tiles and nice furniture. Our room was spacious (by European standards), the bathroom was quite good (spacious, clean, with nice marble tiles, bath/shower, bidet, toilet and large sink.). Lots of hot water and very good water pressure (not so common in Europe.) The breakfast (included, buffet style) is also decent, although it never changes (scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, bread, coffee, juice, cereals).
We were sent there by another hotel for quite a reasonable price, but I would not pay 60E/night or more to stay there. You can easily find better.
