My husband and I stayed at the Residential for two nights in early November 2011. A taxi here from the airport cost 20 Euros – quick and straightforward.

The good: great, central location which makes for a good base for walking and using public transport. Good breakfast buffet with lots of variety. Everything was very clean, the hotel had an elevator, free wi-fi was included. Overall, very good value for money.

The bad: the receptionists and restaurant staff are a tad grumpy. The rooms aren’t exactly quiet (we had requested a room away from the street, which we got) – you hear every footstep in the hallway and the elevator doors. Some rooms have sliding door, which you also hear every time they open and close. The shower water was never hot in the morning, only lukewarm.

The ugly: our bed was rock-hard, which left us with backaches in the morning. Judging from other reviews, I assume this is only the case in certain rooms.

This hotel is in a great location!!! The staff is excellent and the value with breakfast is tough to beat. My wife left her earings in the suite, and the following day from Canada I called and not only did the staff find her earrings they posted them off to us immediately. Can't say enough about the impression they made. Would stay here in a heart beat!

Our first stop of our rtw adventure. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, I enjoyed talking with them. The location is perfect for walking around the older part of town and along the river. Breakfast is above average, not exceptional. The rooms were a bit small, but comfortable. Wifi was available throughout the hotel, though weak in the rooms. The price was a good value.
We would stay there again.
Tip: request a room away from the front, as the small street has a great deal of activity. With stone streets and buildings, the sound reverberates.

Very happy, location couldn't have been better. Easy for bus from airport, main and smaller stations, city and Lisbon's best chicken restaurant in easy reach. Clean, well organised, free wifi and good breakfast.

Room wasn't amazing but, cute, clean, nice TV, nice window, great bathroom comfy bed.

Over all between price, location and quality for me couln't go past. Mind you I'm not a 5 start guy. Location, ease, comfort are my keys and it hit them all in spades!
