I stayed here for 3 days during the second week of this year. It was a great place for the price. Very clean. Staff terribly friendly and helpful. It's 300 steps from a metro station called Parque and it's only 2 or 3 stops from the down town section where many of the great restaurants are.
The part of the description where it called it a hostel confused me. It does seem to be just a regular hotel.
One thing I have to warn you about is the map in TA and other sites show the wrong location for this hotel. It's on a hil, and the map shows it as being on downhill side of the Parque station and on the opposite side of the street, but it's on the uphill side and the same side of the street. Like I said 300 steps away.
They arranged a tour to Fatima for me and the bus picked me up right in front of the hotel.
Breakfast mainly consisted of some rolls with a few cold cuts, butter and jelly and a sweet roll. Coffee and juice (not oj).
It's a relatively quite area.
I should mention it's on the fourth floor, in case you miss it on the sign.
The only complaint I had were the matresses were a little bit too firm for me, but still I'm thinking about going back and I will probably go back here.
It cost me 5 euros for 3 days for wifi internet access. Worked well too. I was able to watch a live nfl playoff game from the nfl site with hardly any lag.
We stayed at this hotel from the 20th to the 22 march 2010.
The bathroom wasn't clean at all. There was a opened soap that was lying besides the sink. The worst, we found some hair on the toilets and on the bath.
By the way, the bath's tap was broken and rusted (room 408)...
The room was noisy at night, I had the impress to sleep outside...
This hotel does not worth 4 stars... but not at all! An hotel to avoid!
I travelled to Lisbon with my sisters and frind and was delighted with the whole expereince. This hotel added to my trip and at this price you can't beat it. Staff were pleasant, rooms basic clean and tidy and breakfast of rolls, cheese, ham and coffee more than enough. It's not plush but if you are looking for value for money this is it.
I would definitely stay here again
The room was clean (in fact the paint was still drying on the door, when we arrived!). The beds were comfortable and the linen clean. Fridge, hairdryer, tv were all operational. Breakfast was adequate. There is a charge of 15 Euros to deposit items in the safe - which is a bit hefty. Also DON'T use the phone to make ANY calls - we made one local call (within Lisbon) of 4 minutes and were charged a massive 11 Euros. Otherwise we would recommend the hotel.
