“Great staff. Average hotel.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

I did not choose this hotel but was provided a night here by TAP due to lost connexion. The hotel is 3 star and thats it. The staff was more like 5 star and very pleasant.
The hotel is well kept and clean, and good for a 3 star. The restaurant and bar was average, but again the staff made the day. The room was simple but nice, but the tiny TV with two local channels was a joke. The room was quiet and I had a good nights sleep. The location seems a bit off; more like a "close-to-the-airport-hotel". Taxi from hotel to airport was 5.50 euros.

“Just Okay.”

Would not be my choice for a hotel when visiting Lisbon again. Location is too far from the city center, even with a subway stop nearby. Not much around the hotel. Staff was pleasant and handled the receipt of packages addressed to me in an expediate and professional manner. Rooms were adequate. Breakfast was okay. Elevators were incredibly slow. Again, nothing special here.

“Busy hotel for the middle class”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

This wasn´t my preferred choice but TAP Portugal´s go-to place for stranded passengers (which there seem to be a few of). The lobby was always busy with people coming and going in small and large groups of middle class tourists. In a way a very honest hotel and a bit old fashioned.
I might consider this hotel for a short stay in Lisbon if travelling with family or as a young traveler with not too tight a budget, though the location might be better. Still it´s not far from a metro station or a local train station.
The interior is bit faded and dated but well kept. The room was not beautiful but clean and had what it should. Service is done in an efficient manner without much amiability.

“Very pleased for the price”

We ended up spending the night at Hotel Roma due to our Royal Air Maroc flight arriving so late in Lisbon we missed all connections to Porto (where we were supposed to be that night).
We paid 65 Euros which we thought was very reasonable, and it is fairly close to the airport (10-15 minute ride) which is why it was recommended to us by the TAP customer service lady. The staff were friendly and efficient, there is free good wifi in rooms (which were very spacious) with good bathroom facilities. There is a taxi rank right outside so was an easy trip back to the airport to head on to Porto the next morning. Breakfast was included, but we had to leave for the airport before they opened, so can't comment on that. Only downside was we could hear quite a lot of noise from other rooms.

“Good hotel,Not so good area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2011

The area around the hotel is rather shabby. There were few places to shop for items you need. We found a little convenience store just around the corner where we could purchase wine, beer, and snacks at reasonable prices. Saved the day. not much from the outside but inside was a completely different world. The spacious lobby is decorated with lots of comfortable sofas and chairs. Computers were accessible and worked well. Internet reasonably priced. People at the desk are ready to help. Our room was roomy and clean. Breakfast was a good variety of foods and well organized. waiters were efficient. We ordered room service for dinner. It was promptly delivered by a curteous waiter and it was hot and tasty. Wasn't overpriced either. Enjoyed our two nights here.

Room Tip: Don't ask for a room with a view. There are none.
