We stayed here for 1 night in Oct. 2011. It is very close to metro station Pombal and takes only 5 min walk to the hotel. Hotel is located right next to the Aveneda de Liberdade, which is the main street between Pombal square and Rossio square. The location is so strategic that you can walk to Rossio square in 5 min and go to Hotel Mundial where you can take the Tram 28 to go to Constello St. Gorge. Even it only takes 23 min from hotel to the sea side Largo de Commercial. Also, if you walk 5 min, you can reach to the airport bus station. There you take 91 bus and it has small post named "Aerobus". Breakfast is not bad. Hot and cold variations. Wifi is only in the lobby, which seems to be the common case in Lisboa and 3* hotel. It is free. In room, they provide Lan cable for free. It is located in quiet street though there is a construction work. But, we heard no noise in the room. No bathtub in the room but, proper size and very clean. Finally, the reception is so nice and helpful. I forget the lady's name. She has brown hair and thin and tall wearing short skirt. She was so nice to us. Very kind. I think we got great deal from the hotel web page. I will definitely come back here.

Very nice hotel. Very clean, excellent staff - very helpful. Tasty breakfasts. Good localisation.
Only disadvantage was air condition flow located centrally over the bed (it was single room, maybe in double room it is not) and they don't accept Dinners Club Cards - in fact they accept but you can't pay with this card in their terminal. Strongly recommend for short stays in Lisbon. I was there for 5 nights.

We spent four nights at this nice hotel last week. Except a small problem with the internet connection, which had been fixed a day after - everything was great. Excellent location, clean, nice (and tiny) rooms, very helpful staff service, and a very well assorted breakfast. We'll definetely be back next time in Lisbon

On arrival at the Dom Carlos our luggage was taken from us and taken to our rooms whilst we were booking in. The staff were very smart, courteous, friendly and efficient and gave a good first impression of the place.
Our room was a Superior double room on the sixth floor. It was a comfortable size, clean, well furnished and carpeted. The bathroom was small but adequate with a good shower
.Breakfast was excellent and included cakes as well as the regular continental breakfast fare. There was also bacon, eggs and sausage. The comfortable breakfast room doubled as a television lounge.
The Dom Carlos is ideally situated just forty yards off the Avenida Da Liberdale and a pleasant ten to fifteen minute stroll to the city centre. Local restaurants and bars provide a variety of menus for every taste at very reasonable prices.
Public transport is in abundance and cheap.
My only complaint was that our early morning wakeup request did not materialise.
