We arrived in Lisbon by train from Madrid. That was a wonderful trip, but the confusion on arrival and relative lack of interest of station personnel to assist us in locating the hotel was not a particularly good welcome to the city. Finally, after finding the tourism office, we were set in the right direction. Several metro rides later, plus a bit of a walk, we arrived. We would have preferred a hotel that was more centrally located, but the rooms and service were fine and the breakfast buffet very good.
