The best part of staying at this aparthotel is that the rooms are unusually large for Europe. We were in a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom unit. There was a full size fold out couch in the living room, which was opened and made up when we checked in. There is a dining table and service for 5. The kitchenette was "bare bones", with just a mini-fridge, microwave and 2 burners. The pool and surrounding area were clean and well-kept. There is a small restaurant, but we did not eat there.

It appears at first blush that the hotel is very far off the beaten path. But actually being on a side street means that it is pretty quiet at night. You can catch the train just about a block away--walk UP the hill to the station rather than down. It's much closer. You can catch the hop on-hop off bus Marquis de Pombal plaza which is a short walk away.

There's a small grocery store across the main road. It's perfect to stock the kitchen for breakfast and snacks. Make a left out of the hotel, and then a left and go half a block to a tiny restaurant (mid-block) which has terrific food at really reasonable prices.There is a McDonald's right across from the hotel.

The staff at the front desk was a "mixed bag." Some quite willing to make conversation and assist with plans and suggestions, others not so much. Overall, this was an excellent stay at a reasonable, spacious hotel.

This hotel has a very good physical plant, feeling fairly new with spacious rooms and nice extras. The staff was also pleasant and helpful. It was disappointing that wi-fi was an extra fee (and rather expensive), but at least this is a choice. Location is pretty good with a short walk to the subway and the large square where some tourist buses run. Major sites would be a fair hike, but possible in good weather.

We took bus no. 91 from the airport and got off at M. Pombal plaza. Hotel is 5 min walk which was not bad.There is a McDonald 's across the street and is open 24 hrs. For dinner there s a grill around the corner with great food and reasonable price. Tour buses are at the Pombal plaza and you can buy tickets on the bus. The metro is walking distance. Bus 709 across the street can take you to Rossio square where the train station is that will take you to Sintra.From Rossio you have more choices to do and see if you would rather go it on your own( cheaper too).
Regarding the hotel, it is clean and tidy. We had a double bed room, a living room with a convertible sofa bed.Hardwood floors including in th kitchen. Toilet and bidet. Tea bags and Electric hot water kettle free. Refrigerator has drinks with reasonable charge . Internet is 4euros/half-hour.they will lend you a power adapter free.They can arrange tours for you. Breakfast charge is reasonable if you don't like McDonalds. We stayed there 3 nights and felt safe.Staff was very helpful and polite.

Lovely big airy room but quite a step from the centre (20 - 25 mins on foot) but there is local transport if you can't face the walk. The reception staff were a little 'stiff' - relucutant to make eye contact or engage in the social niceties ('good morning' etc) but they were not rude and the chamber maids did an outstanding job. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The town centre is very charming and quaint, quite relaxing for us as we had flown in from a lively week in Madrid. I would recommend this hotel if you don't mind a bit of a walk or appreciate the challenge of local transport.
