This hotel is #1 on the Tripadvisor list so I thought I would try it. We were not disappointed! The Britania Hotel is the finest European hotels I have stayed in to date .From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly by the front desk clerk. Check in was a breeze even though we arrived well before check in time. We were shown to our room and made aware of where everything was located in the room. We requested double beds and that is what we got. The beds were not mini singles. The room was large and beautifully decorated. Bathroom is clean, there is a little sitting area outside the doorway to the bedroom. There are robes and slippers on the bathroom door. Hotel is in a great location right off the main Avenue We took the Aero bus for about 3.50 Euros. The bus drops you off about a half a block or so from the hotel. Hotel is located on a quiet side street. For us the stay was perfect. Oh yes free wifi!!!

The experience was very good: the room was big, with minimalist decoration and a spacious bathroom. The cleaning service outstanding and the bathroom products (shampoo, soap, etc) great. Location: it's not in the city center, but Lisbon is a relatively small city, so you get there very fast, we appreciated the quiet location and the nice walks to the hotel. The breakfast and tea time very cozy. The only thing to bear in mind is the thin walls, but if you close the door between the bed and bathroom you get a great sleep. Would recommend it and if I return to Lisbon, for sure will repeat the hotel

This is a fine hotel and a reasonable value. Free parking, wifi, nice service, etc. but it is not a five star hotel... The bed was terrible, if felt a foot shorter than a normal king bed, the room and lobby are clean but nothing out of a design magazine, the neighborhood is good but the street it's on is not, Etc.. All in all, I'd recommend staying there if you need to be in the neighborhood at that price. But it's certainly not comparable to, eg, the palacete Chafariz del Rei.

2011 Trip Advisor award winner really deserves this title. Nothing can be said more than this since hundreds of visitors already voted with 5/5 points, I can only join them. Stay there, you will not regret, probably Britania is the best hotel in Lisbon for this price and every single penny returns.
