Last year in march we stayed in this hotel for a short trip to celibrate our weddingday!
We had a very nice room, the location was splendid, nearby the old towncentre, and there was a good atmosphere in this hotel.
The room was clean, the breakfast was good and the lobby was a very pleasant place to stay. You can drink or eat there, some little snacks, all good.
Nearby there (at the squares) are a lot of nice restaurants, good terraces to drink a coffee or tea and to watch all kinds of people passing by. There is also the start of the two lines of the hop-on hop-off busses so that is very convenient.

Loved this hotel. Could not have asked for a better location in Lisbon. We went to Sintra for the day and the train is right next door. The best Concierge, we wanted to find a particular place to buy ceramics and he made many phone calls for us!. The room was comfortable, the hotel old world and comfortable. Staff was all very nice.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in August 2011. The hotel location was fantastic - right next door to the train station (we took the trains to Sintra and the zoo) and walking distance (a good 20 minute walk) to the castle and also to the water. The hotel has retained it's elegance and charm over the past 100+ years it has been open. The room we had was very basic with classic furnishings, but was very big and very clean. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with a wide range of options and in a beautiful large room. The internet services were free, all you need to do it ask for a passcode which is good for an hour. We were delayed going home due to Hurricane Irene and the hotel was very accommodating - they extended our stay for another two days and helped us select some tours to keep us busy (unfortunately we could not do a wine tour but we did take the Obidos/Navarro/Fatima day tour which was quite unique and special). This hotel is a fantastic value for a city hotel and I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends.
