Clean basic room with location that can't be beat. The AeroBus stop from airport is just 5 mins walk. The historic sites are also 5 to 10 min walk. I had left my travel book in a resturant. (even did not remember the name). Barbara (the young lady at the reception) was very helpful, she googled the resturant, called them , and made sure they kept the book for me to be picked up the next day.
Over all , great value for the price.

Stayed here at the end of May 2011. Location wasn't amazing, but definitely close enough that you can walk into the city within 10 minutes. It was maybe a 3 minute walk to the Hard Rock Cafe. The room itself was nothing special, but when you're really only interested in having a roof over your head and it not being a hostel, this place was perfect. Decent Breakfast in the morning. Staff was approachable at best. Not overly friendly, but not rude either. If you are flying into Lisbon, the bus line stops just across from the Hard Rock, making it real easy to get back to the airport.

We stayed in a top floor apartment that was huge! We were 2 adults and a child. Our friends stayed next door in another huge apartment and they were 2 adults and 2 children. The rooms had a bedroom and very large living areas. Also a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and a big bathroom. It was perfect for us and a very good price. It included quite a good breakfast too. It does not have a lift so you have to go up and down quite a few stairs but we only did this once or twice a day so not too bad. Great location right on the Avenida da Liberdade and close to shops, trains and buses. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and we will stay here again!

We stayed here with friends and found that it was good value for the cost. The hotel is clean and simple, friendly staff that went out of their way for us and the price includes a typical travelers fair breakfast. The location is fantastic, close to town and walking distance to the funicular and various subways and the central square. Although the furniture is dated and old the hotel is clean and comfortable. If you're looking for a basic, budget place to stay this is a good choice, but the Ritz it isn't so don't expect it.
