“Ideal base to explore Lisbon and surrounding area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

We drove to Estoril from the Algarve. The hotel was easy to find and parking was not a problem. We stayed for 4 nights, 14th/18th December B&B at a cost of 21euros each per night. Very modern hotel with vibrant colours. Breakfast was brilliant, best scrambled eggs ever. Easy walk to Estoril town or the other way to Cascais. Down hill to the train station to visit Lisbon. After a full days sightseeing remember it's a UP hill walk back to the hotel.

Room Tip: Higher floors have a sea view.

“Forced to pay 100 euros extra”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2011

We booked this Hotel on Central R booking site for 9 nights and paid a deposit of 100 euros. On our booking receipt it clearly stated that the deposit amount would be deducted from the balance on checkout. At our departure we were informed by the Hotel staff that the deposit amount of 100 euros was considered a booking fee ( 11 euro per night) that was taken by Central R booking and that it was not considered by them as part payment of the reservation. We were forced to pay the additional 100 euros as the Hotel would not negotiate nor explain. I am still shocked at their blatant refusal to recognise their affiliation with central R, if I was aware that I was going to pay 100 euro just to use the booking agent I would have booked through the Hotel direct. However I could be forgiven for thinking my deposit was part payment for my reservation as it was clearly printed at the bottom of my Receipt from Central R which the Hotel staff refused to acknowledge.

Room Tip: I would advise not to take a room that face the road as the road noise is terrible and therefore it...

“Romantic package”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

My partner and I stayed there for one night. I had pre-booked the romantic package for a special ocasion and for a humble price of 60€ (per night / per room) we had access to: a room with sea view, double bed, a welcome drink, a bottle of champagne and a fruit basket on the bedroom, special decor, late checkout (15:00) and the breakfast was served on the room.

The double bed was in fact made of two single matresses that were joined together, but apart from that, the room but very good, a bit small perhaps but had a nice balcony with 2 chairs, a TV flatscreen and it was very clean.
The staff were helpful and kind.
The lobby area was nicely decorated, and the gym suited its purpose.
The location is got the be one of the best things about the hotel, since it is a 5min walk from the train station (Monte Estoril) and a 15min walk to Estoril, and so you have easy access to most of the beaches on that region.
The breakfast, as I already stated, was served on the bedroom. We chose the time at which the breakfast should be served, and I asked for a natural orange juice (that was off the menu) but the staffed managed to get it for me at no extra charge, it was a very pleasent surprise. The rest of the breakfast was composed by 2 small croissants, 2 tiny breads, a few slices of ham and cheese, butter, 2 yogurt, milk and tea. You can choose some of the drinks, but they could have served more food.

Overall, it was a good and pleasant experience and I recommend it sharply!

Room Tip: If you like to sleep in late, ask the staff for a room that suits that purpose. We stayed on a room...

“Excellent value, boutique style hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

I stayed here for 3 nights in late October 2011 on business. My sea-view room on the 6th floor was spotless and nicely fitted out, with flat screen tv, lovely toiletries and its own balcony with seats. There is a stylish bar and breakfast area - the hotel has a clean, modern, boutique atmosphere and for the 70 euro a night I paid, an absolute bargain. Staff were all very friendly and helpful - the front desk staff in particular are excellent. The streets surrounding the hotel are elegant, lined with beautiful residences and the area felt extremely safe for a woman travelling alone. A 10-15 minute walk brings you to the centre of Cascais, and the hotel is very well located for the beach. I would highly recommend this comfortable, stylish hotel and I was only sorry I couldn't stay longer!

Room Tip: I stayed in double room 603 which had a spectacular view over the sea and Cascais.

“Good hotel, good location, lovely stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

My partner and I stayed here for a week (half term) this October. We had a great time at the hotel and found the reception staff extremely helpful.

Other reviewers were disappointed by the breakfast so we weren't expecting much and were pleasantly surprised! Yes breakfast was similar everyday but there was a good range - eggs, bacon, tomatoes - all hot. Cereals, tea, coffee, cake, rolls, cheese, ham and a range of spreads.

Not sure if our room was newly refurbished as we were on the first floor, but it was clean and had a nice balcony overlooking the pool. The bathroom could have been cleaner (seemed as though it had been left damp a lot) but the maid did a fantastic job and cleaned the room throughally everyday and made it look very welcoming to come back to.

We didn't book any transfers with this hotel as the website we booked through wanted £70 pp. We instead took a chance that we would be able to hop on the train. From the airport we caught the Aerobus number 1 to Cais de Sondre and then the train to Monte Estroil. We then had a short walk (5 mins) to the hotel. We arrrived about 10pm. I did feel a little uncomfortable on the train as we are two young(ish) females and there were some dogdy looking characters but it only happened on our first journey which I think was probably heightened by our fear of the unknown!

I would definately recommend this hotel, and the area as we had a great holiday.

Room Tip: Higher rooms are apparently nice and have a better view. We were on the first floor over looking th...
