Stayed for 9 nights in March 2011. Hotel is ideally situated for transport link to Lisbon.
Railway Station is about 5 minutes walk away. When there the trains were on strike a couple of times and apparently there is no bus service to Lisbon( according to the tourist info. office).
The few Restaurants in the locality are in my opinion of poor quality and pricey, maybe due to the proximity of the Casino.
The best Restaurants we found are in Cascais which is a pleasant 15-20 min stroll along the Seafront. There is plenty of choice and prices range to suit all pockets.
There is a limited menu of meals at the Alvorada but we cannot vouch for there quality as we never ate there, apart from the Breakfast which is pretty much continental plus scrambled eggs and a saveloy type sausage.
