“Superb hotel in a stunning location”

What a beautiful position..nestling on the cliff edge with amazing views from the restaurant across the beach.
We had a room with sea-views and balcony and it was faultless, a perfect room for a romantic break. We woke to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach below and the bed was the most comfortable ever.
Reception staff were excellent and the town really charming.
I highly recommend this hotel.

“Our most favorite room and view in Portugal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 June 2011

Charming king/suite room with a gorgeous view of the bay. We loved staying in the Palace and having breakfast on our terrace. The sunset was amazing. Loved the town of Cascais...very friendly, fresh grilled fish everywhere, enjoyed long walks on the promenade. A great way to end our trip to Portugal-easy to get to the airport.

Room Tip: Definitely want an upper floor w ocean view.

“Sophiticated Elegance”

My wife and I just returned from a trip to Portugal that included a 3 night stay at the Albatroz. Our time at this wonderful hotel was doubtlessly the highlight of the trip. We have had great success in the past with other "Leading Hotels of the World" properties and this track record was a major factor in our decision to try the Albatroz.Fodors recommended paying a little extra for an ocean view... and we truly scored by following this advice and ended up with a magnificent ocean front room in the new "Palace" Building. The hotel is made up of the main building (the two original villas that were combined) and the "Palace" which is seperate from the main complex and houses a conference center and 6 ocean front rooms. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and finely decorated with quality furnishings, linens and towels. The complimentary port in a small decanter was filled every night and was always well received. The room service Continental Breakfast served on the balcony overlooking the beach and the bay was truly a dignified start to every day.The service was personal and friendly and the dinner recommendations from the concierge were always right on the money. This was a delightful experience at a terrific hotel in a tremendous location.
