There's a 5 star sign outside of this hotel and for sure this hotel is not a 5 star.

Hotel location is just great if you want to see the area and enjoy beach as well as doing some sightseeing around. Definitely one should have a car for this hotel since it's quite far from the city though parking can be problematic during the weekend when there are lots of people coming to the beach.
Some of the hotel rooms have been renovated, once we could get over stink of paint and some unfinished carpenter job at the room, the room was clean and livable. Breakfast is simple, nothing special and hotel staff are helpful. But things are not perfect, once we arrived we've been given our room which was not ready yet , of course we needed to chase reception few time before it was made ready. Wifi only works in small area near reception by chance only ! Ambiance in this hotel is weird, you feel some sort of emptiness and lack of presence but who cares, once you step outside, you see mountains, ocean and waves !!

This hotel, seems to have received many bad reviews, but my wife and I thought it was great.

First of all, the location is amazing, right on the beach and the beach itself is fantastic.

The older rooms are a bit dark but they do have the best views; the newer rooms are nicer decor but as theyre mostly on the back of the hotel the views arent as good, but if you want a nice view go down to the beach, its 2 mins away!

Its definitly got character, and character goes a long way. The staff I found were all really nice and helpful; I didnt eat there much actually, but I found the dinner was nice, and the bar prices decent.

There is also a massive casino a few miles away.

The location was great, and the room was clean and warm. Powerful showers. Yes, the decor might have been a bit dated and quirky but we enjoyed our stay. Helpful staff, Mr Muchaxo gave us his time and attention. The meals in the restaurant were fine, and enjoyed by our local friends.The windows were affected by salt spray but it didn't spoil the experience that much. It's not 5 star accomodation but we were pleasantly surprised.

Decoration dates back 30 years, with rusted lamps, poor stone floors and concrete ceilings. Despite its fantastic location, right on top of a beach, the windows in the sea view rooms are so old and dirty you can't see outside! We complained that they should be cleaned but no to effect, so we had to clean them ourselves (see the difference in the pictures).

There is a damp smell in the main lobby, and the breakfast room also has the same problem with a total lack of view to the outside, even though on the other side of the window is the ocean. The breakfast itself is poor with little more than toast, and the service also takes you back 30 years...

In the end we demanded that the price for our room be reduced to the same level as those with no view, which we got after some discussion.

If you are looking only for location, its great. If you are expecting anything else, be advised.
