“Beautiful villa!”

Although my colleagues were staying in Lisbon for a conference recently, I decided to stay here as when I lived in Cascais I often walked past and thought it a pretty house. It was also convenient for the station to the conference in Lisbon and for training I gave in Carcavelos. I had a huge twin bedded room, with a large balcony overlooking the pretty garden. There was an enormous amount of cupboard space, including two dressing rooms. November in Cascais can be dull as it often rains heavily (which it did) but when the sun shone it was gorgeous. Port wine served in the sitting room every evening is a very civilised offering! The staff were extraordinarily helpful...use them to book your taxi, it is better value than the regular ones.

“We all loved it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

We spent a weekend at the Casa de Pergola (Pergola House) in October 2011. The weather was perfect and the accommodation sublime. We were made to feel so welcome and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We went as a family with two teenage girls. They got the better room - the Blue Room (a twin room) with a super balcony looking over the garden where they sat watching the sun go down. We had the Grey Room; a double that had everything we needed in it at the top of the house.

The location is so central that even if the breakfast hadn't been yummy, and the rooms hadn't been beautiful, and the reading room hadn't been an inspiration, we would have been delighted. But put all this together and it makes for a perfect quiet getaway in the middle of 'town'.

Definitely one to return to.

Room Tip: A garden view is perfect

“Perfect weekend getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2011

The Pergola House is a beautiful property. The location is perfect - you can walk to shops, restaurants, beaches, and the city park. It's also only a block away from the train station. We took the train from Lisbon and it was very easy. The staff is lovely, the breakfast and rooms were great.

“Wonderful Trip”

Stayed here for 12 nights recently & had a wonderful time.Pictures & descriptions are accurate, the garden is very colourful and the building is very picturesque.First class service from all of the staff who could not do enough to make you feel at home.Although we stayed as a family probably more suitable as adults.Very clean, breakfast served in the garden along with Port every night from 6 ! Situated in centre of town, which we found ideal, very near to bus /train & taxi stand.Plenty of choice for restaurants, try going up the side streets away from main square with restaurants in,we found them to offer best value & best choice(Taxi driver recommended Flecha Azul restaurant, approx 150 yds from B & B ,turn right out of Pergola & its on opposite side.best value & good plain dishes)

We spent considerable time on beaches & walking along prom etc.Local park is also worth a trip it has several historical buildings, museums etc located either within or nearby.

Will return to Cascais & spend more time visiting places of interest of which there are plenty.

It was a one night trip to Cascais, to see Jamie Cullam, so most of the hotels were full. So we stayed in this beautiful house in the center of Cascais, near everything, with lovely hospitality. The garden is a must, the reading room excellent, the breakfast marvelous :)
The room was clean, quite nice.

Maybe is an excellent, i don´t know...discover yourself :) I really like it
