Although my colleagues were staying in Lisbon for a conference recently, I decided to stay here as when I lived in Cascais I often walked past and thought it a pretty house. It was also convenient for the station to the conference in Lisbon and for training I gave in Carcavelos. I had a huge twin bedded room, with a large balcony overlooking the pretty garden. There was an enormous amount of cupboard space, including two dressing rooms. November in Cascais can be dull as it often rains heavily (which it did) but when the sun shone it was gorgeous. Port wine served in the sitting room every evening is a very civilised offering! The staff were extraordinarily helpful...use them to book your taxi, it is better value than the regular ones.
