“Nice Place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in Nov just before heading back into Lisbon. Nice spacious rooms, location is right on the ocean, nice walkways in both directions from hotel, lots of shops and restaurants within a 5 min walk, right across the street is a major mall. We ate at the restaurant several times and enjoyed every meal - alos enjoyed ocean views from the restaurant. No internet in rooms was perhaps one downside but overall great place!

Room Tip: ocean view

“Beautiful views, nice suite!”

My wife and I had a great experience at the Hotel Albatroz for a night on our honeymoon. We booked though LHW and were given a generous upgrade to a Junior Suite looking out over the water....Stunning! Staff were great, they parked the car for us in a secure spot and were always helpful. Had a great breakfast in the room when we were feeling a little lazy, the muesli was delicious!
Only had a few things that I thought could improve-
The room showed slight signs of aging, and might be need of an update soon.
I ordered a cappuccino on the way out and sat out on the balcony to have it.....Possibly one of the worst coffees I have ever had, lukewarm and there was no milk in it, a lot of froth, but no milk.....
Apart from that, we had a great stay and can't complain. It is very romantic for the couples who wanna sit by the beach and just relax!

Room Tip: Balcony with water view, book through lhw for upgrade

“Great room and views”

This was my second time staying at the Albatroz. Once for business and now for pleasure. I think it is a great vote of confidence when you stay at a hotel for pleasure once you did it for business. I cannot say I would do it too often as your criteria is different but here it worked a charm. We had a room in the Villa a short, 100m, walk away from the hotel. Second floor, amazing views, quiet and felt like the place was yours. The breakfast is terrific with the dining room having great views and service. 5 star not really, but a very good 4 stars and would be back.

“A wonderful, reviving break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

I've stayed at this lovely hotel twice before, this visit was my first ever holiday solo, very much a last minute arrangement. It was as I remembered it; the staff were thoughtful and friendly, breakfasts and suppers in the bar area very good and my ocean view (with a balcony) room very nice indeed. The daily refilling of the Port decanter was a much appreciated treat! Cascais is a such a relaxing, pretty town with lots of good walking, places to eat and things to do. Love Lisbon though I do, I'd rather stay here and take the train in - only half an hour and a scenic route along the coast and Tagus estuary much of the way. I thoroughly recommend it - book an ocean view with a balcony if possible.

“Loved Hotel Albatroz”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

What is there not to love? A boutique hotel set in the charming town of Cascais. The rates were reasonable (but we were off season). October is a wonderful month to visit Portugal. We had one stormy day during our 3 day, 2 night visit. The coast was magnificent to watch as the waves battered the shore.

The rooms had wonderful ocean views, and the sound of waves lulled you to sleep each evening. The breakfast buffet was great and included hot food as well. The room and bathroom were spacious and modern. We had a few afternoon snacks in the bar and they were prepared very well.
