This is a 4*-hotel with characteristics of 4* in the 19xx's! A lot of dark wood, red carpet, brass and silver, cream coloured tiles in the bathroom. It's not what I like, but it is nevertheless a fine hotel: good location (if you arrive by car, follow signs for tourist office, because they are just opposite (and have free car park)), spacious and clean rooms, good breakfast, swimming pool.

The Hotel is located in Viseu a town in center-north of Portugal.
The building has an architecture near the 50's and 60's style, that is very "solid" and heavy.
The rooms are enough good but show the age of the hotel and in a certain way are old fashioned.But in practical terma they have all confort.
The same old fasioned ambiance we can find in lobby and restaurant.
The service on recetion as well in rooms is very kind and efficient.
The food in restaurant is near the average and definively I think is better and cheaper to eat in town.

The hotel is very good and very central. It's listed as a 4 star but they were still in the process of installing mini-bars. Also TV channels are limited, but because you are in the middle of the town you can take a walk and enjoy the local culture. The food at the hotel was also very good. Rooms facing the pool are nice and quiet.
