We stayed one night and wanted to have a double bed, but instead got twin beds, which were so light, that they fell apart all the time.
Room and bathroom were clean, breakfast was good.
Staff was friendly, multi-lingual and helpful.
WiFi was availablefor free in the room and did work!

The hotel itself is a bit on the worn side but we found all the staff to be exceptional in friendliness, and being able to give us information on sights and dining choices. The room was larger than many others we had stayed in. There was some street noise but we enjoyed having an enclosed balcony. The breakfast was excellent with many choices.

We decided to spend a night in Coimbra just the day before our arrival. So, we went online and booked a room at Comfort Inn Almedina for just over 40 Euros. For such a good price, we got just what we needed - a nice and clean room, good location and a very good and filling breakfast.

The hotel is located just a couple of blocks from the train station and also a few block from where the attractions are. Very useful. As mentioned, the breakfast is very good, with many options to choose and tasty. The room is comfortable, clean, with a bathtub and cable TV.

Overall, I do recommend this place.

On the positive side: hotel is close to the city centre, has spacious rooms and plenty to choose from for breakfast.
On the negative: lack of free parking, you can clearly see that the hotel hasn't been refurbished for a while, as rooms are a bit worn.

All in all: good and fairly cheap accommodation for one or two nights, but don't expect too much.
