The Hotel is located on top of a hill, near the castle, so the view from nearly every window is amazing! The city down bellow, trees, birds chirping and mountains at the distance make a perfect companion while you enjoy the sunset.
The swimming pool is fine, swimming caps are mandatory in many, if not all hotels in Portugal now, so not the hotel's fault.
The room was comfortable and large enough, so was the TV, by the way.
There is an assortment of foreign channels, something that you'll appreciate if you ever been abroad on a hotel with only local channels...
There was absolutely no noise around our room nor in the hotel during the 3 days and two nights we stayed there; it was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.
One day, on our return to the room we found a typical Easter treat waiting for us - so nice of them!
Finally, the best part, in our opinion, was the food!
We were lucky enough to have two buffet diners included in our stay, so we treated ourselves to the lovely variety of starters, the fish and meat main courses, and the exquisite traditional deserts the hotel's restaurant had to offer, not to forget the excellent local wines we were served!
Would we go back again? Tomorrow wouldn't be soon enough.
