I stayed here for 1 night to watch football Beiria Mar v Setubal in the Portuguese League. The hotel is a 15 mins walk form the railway station. Everything about the hotel is fantastic. The staff are simply incredible and so helpful. Its a very modern hotel in every way. The breakfast and choice was superb. I would recommend this hotel massively. It is only 10 mins into the main centre of Aveiro. I was there to watch football at the Municipal Stadium. There is no public transport to the ground which lies on the outside of the city. So I went to the station and caught a taxi to and from the ground, It was the only way to get there and back.

“Nice hotel in a nice town”

We came upon this hotel by accident when we were about
to go to the next town because we hadn't found a place to
stay. It was a holiday weekend in Spain and a lot of people
had come over the border for a couple of days. Luckily they
had a room - probably because we wanted a non-smoking
one. The staff were friendly and the room very clean.
The only disadvantage was that it was a bit of a walk to the
centre of town (we had a car but, having found a parking
space right in front, we weren't going to give it up!). We ate
in the restaurant next door to the hotel which was fine.
Breakfast was included in the room rate. We were very
pleased with this hotel and with Aveiro. Be sure to take one
of the hour long cruises that go along the canals in the
old salt boats (and buy some of the special salt - flor de
sal- that the area is famous for!).

  • Liked — Friendly staff and easy car parking (rare in southern Europe).
  • Disliked — Breakfast area was very crowded.
