“Great Hotel Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2010

My wife and I were visiting the area from New York and found this great property. Price was very reasonable for a junior suite with an open balcony and a separate living area. Truly a huge room for Europe. Heating and A/C had separate remote control. Bathroom was large with heated floors. Ample closet space the curtains all worked great. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Checkin process was a piece of cake and our included breakfast was really appreciated.

However the even better aspect was its location. We were right in the middle of Portugal's venice. As a hotel owner, I appreciate a good value and well run establishment. Public parking is a block away, we had a great dining experience at Zicco's a short walk away, we enjoyed the gondala ride and everything about our stay.

Get yourself a reservation here and ask for the junior suite; well worth it.

“Great sleep, great price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 July 2010

Best Western is not our choice usually, but this hotel maintained a distinct character. It's in a terrific location on a quiet pedestrianized street withing walking distance to the canal. It's a little tired but price reflected that. Full buffet breakfast was outstanding! We were there in shoulder season and negotiated a good price.

“Excellent for price and location.”

I normally stay in small pensions, but was glad I chose the Imperial for 5 nights. I paid only 45 euros (the normal listed rate is 63 - ask), and found the room to be very quiet and comfortable. The aircon worked fine, bed comfortable, bathroom good, and staff helpful and friendly.
Some rooms have balconies, others don't , so ask (mediocre view, though). They have a computer to use with internet for free, and a restaurant which I didn't eat at. The very beautiful city has lots of great places to eat.
The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the train station, but right in the heart of the city, so you can walk everywhere.
I checked out other places for my next visit (not because their were problems -just normal practice), and didn't find any nearly as good, so will definitely stay here again.
