We asked for a room a high floor and got one. Superb view towards the west over over garden suberbs (wouldn't like the other side of the building though - smaller rooms and no balcony). Good quiet location being fairly high up the hillside and away from main thoroughfares. Don't worry about the proximity of the airport - there aren't many flights and they come and go over the sea so the noise is not too bad (None after midnight). We had a few problems (see below), but the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was excellent and in the evening the wine bottle was 'bottomless'.
The only negative point was that there were no tea/coffee making facilites which was a bit disappointing considering we arrived at 1.30am after 10h travelling (don't try taking a travel kettle. Having heard rumour of no tea making facilities we took one and blew the room electrics! Apparently travel irons can do it as well.)
