Very well put in the middle of its surroundings, these award winning villas are very spacious and interesting!
The first time I saw the buildings I just fell in love with them and I just wish I had a weekend house like that.
Architecture is amazing, construction is very good but the decoration could have a bit more attention to details… The bedroom is very simple as is the bathroom.
The huge living room windows just knocks everyone out with its view, either it’s a foggy day outside or a very shinny one!
The place takes a bit to heat up… so use the fireplace and just read a book…
TV is a bit limited and small… a modern TV would be nice, as well as some more channels, but I guess you don’t actually want to go there to watch TV.
The swimming pool is smaller than it looks in the pictures, but how many days will you be able to sit by the pool in S. Miguel, specially in the Furnas area? Not many, that’s for sure!
Staff is very friendly and helpful, just like a family business should be!
Breakfast is way too expensive… when you’re in Ponta Delgada just stop at a supermarket and buy some supplies for breakfast and you’ll be fine in the villa’s kitchen!

One of the best holiday locations we've been in as a family with young children.

The owning couple stay on site and are most charming and helpful. They have a young daughter of their own and a very friendly dog - Peeshka.

The villas are located across the road from the beautiful, virtually tourist free, Furnas lake area and its green slopes. The property is extensive and includes a lush hill that takes around 20 mins to hike to the top (45 mins with young children) for great views across the nearby sea and Furnas lake.

Each villa is tastefully decorated with free broadband access and immense amounts of light. It was very nice to wake up to horses grazing outside one window and hedgehogs on the other. As the property is set in extensive grounds, it goes completely silent at night (save for the frogs). We also found the cleaning lady visiting 3 times a week very useful (included in the price).

The owners also run Pico de Aventuras, an activity company that arranges for horse riding, whale watching and kayaking in the Furnas lake.

Shops are a 10 mins drive (car a must) as is the village of Furnas and the lovely Terra Nostra gardens and the volcanic bathing pool. The Furnas lake caldera area where food is cooked underground is a 20 min walk.

All in all a magical location for a romantic get away or an active adventure holiday base in a very quiet, green area.

well, azores is the paradise.
and this hotel is in the middle of this land.
it's not that close to the airport and the capital but believe me the short trip worth it. you can take a cab from the airport. it's not expensive at all.
the villas are by the lake called lagoa das furnas (furnas lake). this lake is on the top of a volcanic hill (don't worry it's not a working one). its surroundings are trees, trees and trees.
if you want to enjoy a vibrant metropolis forget this place. but if you want to feel all the advantages of the pure nature than it's yours.
there are a few (like 6 or so) villas. every villa is the same. contemporary architecture both inside and outside. fireplace, living room, bedroom, bathroom. really good furnitures (kartell, artemide, etc.).
the owners are extremely kind and helpful.
there is no food there, so you have to make it for your own (there are three grocery stores in the closest village called furnas which is approximately 2 kilometers from the villas).
there would be a lot of things to say about the villas, but it's better to chek ot for yourself.
