We had a wonderful stay at Hotel 5 and in Santa Maria.
The hotel manager was wonderful. She really went out of her way to help. We had an early flight out of Santa Maria and left our jackets hanging in the closet. She went out of her way to find us in San Miguel and sent our clothes to us.
The hotel was very modern and so very clean.
The best part was the hotel manager who really gives 110% to her job.

While the staff was professional and more than accomodating, this hotel just looked out of place (in my opinion.) Of course it's still under construction, but it just didnt fit the flavor of this lovely island.

I felt so sorry for the housekeeping staff as they attempting to keep the black stone foyer floor clean.

Food was mediocre, beds were hard -- but maybe because this hotel is brand new. Would love to have had some internet access.

I visit azores, and Santa maria Island. It was a great surprise because the island is full of natur and wondefull seasides.
The HOTEL 5 , were I stay was the best You can find in Azores, maybe one of the best in Portugal.
The service is excellent and the accomodations are fantastics.
