Went out with a group of 16 for 3 days of golf. Was a really enjoyable stay check in was relatively smooth, rather disappointing that course/pool view rooms were not given as the hotel was quite due to the time of the year 1 member of the group was charged 60e for a course view and had a room overlooking 18th green. Can understand in peak times but why have people over looking main road when equal quality rooms with a view are available. The rooms and inside of the hotel are very nice, with mini bars, tea coffee machines and large LCD TV, balcony. The public areas in the hotel are very well maintained and relaxing have a nice snooker table and sports bar. Beers are about 5e a pint but there is a good choice of drinks we headed to a town called Alvor which was 8e in taxi and could get beers from 1.80e to 3e a pint and a curry, Portuguese steak, steak on a stone for 10e-15e a head. Breakfasts were fantastic but will say given the abundance of oranges growing in the area to use concentrated style orange and not fresh is not good. The golf courses were absolutely fantastic played 2 times on championship and one on the practice course all were great and the golf club is great clubs are stored there so you don't need to carry them back to room etc and clubs and shoes are cleaned overnight for you which is a nice touch. Trolly rental was 6e, buggy 45e and 50 golf balls at range 6e. Wifi was chargeable in room and public areas which was a shame and no water in room unless you are a meridian member, petrol station 500m down the road selling water for 1e a bottle beats the 4e at hotel. All in all a great stay people at the hotel are very friendly and will do anything they can to make your stay relaxing opening doors, coffee top ups, smooth check out etc. Really relaxing stay and can defiantly say I would recommend.
