“Great Hospitality at Bica Boa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 December 2011

We stayed at Bica Boa for two nights and I must say that it was most enjoyable.
The ambience of the Inn was relaxing and it is very tastefully done in the Portogeuse style.
Food was excellent and the staff were very efficient and fast.he

The owner who lives on the premises is very hands on and great company. A very interesting
lady.

Over all it is an excellent place to relax and the nearby village of Monchique is walking distance. The valley and hills in the surrounding area are very lovely for walking and the views are beautiful.

I would highly recommend Bica Boa to anyone who is interested in visiting the hilltown
of Monchique.

A and V

“Peace in the hills”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 May 2011

Stayed at Bica Boa for a few nights while on a walking holiday with 'Portugal Walks', was a great end to our holiday, beautifull setting in the peacefull hills of Monchique. Susan our host was a great match for the peacful setting, very calm, always willing to help and good for a chat. Loved the dogs, the nicest ones we met during our holiday. Room was lovely, simple, clean, nice furniture, no clutter. Would recommend Bica Boa for anybody look for a tranquil break.

“Comfortable small hotel in the mountains”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2009

This is a nice little inn with simple but comfortable rooms. The lady owner was most welcoming as were the other staff. Fantastic breakfast and tasty food at dinner (chicken piri-piri). Dont waste money on the puddings though - not up to normal portugese standards.

My husband and I took our niece to the Bica Boa for dinner last MOnday night - it was recommened in or guide book....it was dreadful . i selected lamb chops with tabullah, it came with no tabullah in sight, limp salad and dried out slices of red cabbage from the night before, my niece had tasteless chicken with the same dried out salad and my poor husband had the worst pizza of his life- it looked and tatsed like it came fom the frozen counter of the cheapest supermarket imaginable. go to Porca Preta that was sensational.
