“Another great surprise... soooo budget!”
Trying to keep up with the tradition of an algarvian New Years, we were also considering budget restrains so when we found winter prices for the Marina Park, the choice was obvious!
While booking we had requested for a room with a view ver the Lagos' marina, since there were going to be Midnight fireworks over there. This was a wild shot, i know, because the site has so many blocks, having the 3 bed-room apartment facing the marina would be a strike of luck. But we got it!! Block 8, huge balcony, sun shining from 12pm onwards... YEYYY!!!
The areas in the appartment are really nice, even with 6 ppl moving around.
Wide kitchen as well, depite the pots and pans being very few, honnestly! we were washing them constantly!!! there's a washing machine and a dish washer (working everyday!!!!) large refrigerator and freezer, oven and microwave, toaster but no washing soap or detergent for the machines...
Actualy, not even the toilets had toilleries... thank god i aways bring non-used from previous stayings :D
The rooms are also nice and spacious, A.c. on all of them, incl living room, but the closet space is scarce. Even with 6 ppl in a 8ppl appartment!! in fact, one of the rooms didn't have closets at all, so the ones staying there kept their stuff in the bags...
2 rooms and the living room face the balcony, so it's great waking up there! While doing some curious "search" we found a iron and ironning board in one of the closets and a hanger to dry clothes as well as a broom, mop and bucket in the compartment where the a.c. is on, the balcony... this, on our 2nd day there!!! we thought we didn't have any!!!
oh, we considered also there should be recycling buckets in the appartment because the dumpster is organized by recycling bins! just to make things easy on us.
Supermarkets are near, and serveral in town. The closest one is Pingo Doce, just down hill and on your left. Then, on a short drive to Portimão, you'll find all the department stores you can wish!
Downtown Lagos is a very old - but conserved - and rustic place! We loved it. It's clean and wide, green areas all over, the old buildings renewed, great to walk by!
Room Tip: Ask for what you wish - marina view or pool view - looks like they attend your requests!!!
