Hi,
Just a short one on me and the wifes summer break.
Been to Lagos a few times and really looked forward to this one.
Arrived 12th July, did a transfer with Algarve-365.com from Faro and return, instead of car hire this time and was spot on, thanks to the forum for that one. (thanks to Pete the driver, also the boss).
Booked an apartment at Motel Marsol (again), no trouble and spotless as usual. Is a quite place just far enough out of town for us to chill.
Out on our fist night in town, Eddies first port of call to say Hi, then Red eye, Whyte’s bar and a few others. Nothing changes much and always a good experience, although the guy in Whyte’s bar being ill by the bar shortened our stay a bit.
Next few days on the beach by Bahia, has changed for the better but prices are a bit on the high side for a mid day snack.
Spent a bit more time walking round the old town which was good. Up to the Marina on a couple of occasions, West Bar and Grill impressed every time, nice Jazz thing going on a Sunday and the food was very good the visit we made.
Didn’t eat out as much as before (exchange rate) but the one that stood out was the Japanese restaurant up past Only Fools (good all day b'fast by the way) , I think its called Osaki' (ish), sure someone will put me right. 15 euro buffet deal, had a real good time, shame we only did it once but love the feel of the place and the staff couldn’t do enough.
So that’s it, 10 days….where did it go, We will be back as me and the wife love Lagos. The only place ive visited more than once on holiday with the wife and very possibly the only place we shall be booking in the future.
ps. Thanks to all on here for tips, Lagosman for his blog and just to say the works going on by the front are nowhere as bad as i thought they might be.
Any thing i can help with just shout.
J.
