“Well worth the money”

Second time of staying here and will return again this year. rooms clean, on the small side but large patio on seaview side.Idealy situated for exploring the algarve but away from the touristy hot spots, albafura etc.Parkiing during the day bit of a nightmare due to people visiting Dona Ana beach. No complaints about any staff ,as far as i was concerned, all polite and pleasant.Breakfast rather basic, nothing hot,but you get what you pay for.

Room Tip: Seaview side for large patio

“Reasonable hotel”

Booked this hotel thinking it would be a great hotel (judging from the photos) however when we arrived, having come from Portimao with a huuuuge hotel/apartment room, we were a little bit disappointed. The rooms were small and a little outdated & only one computer to use internet on and that didn't even work too well! Location was great though with a semi-secluded beach just 1 minute walk away and restaurants & supermarket 5 minutes walk away.

This hotel is described being owned by Norman Bates and that the quality is there after.
Well i visited the hotel in october 2011 and there was no Norman Bates or a bad vibe there.
I got good attentive service and a imensive continental breakfast...And the beautiful beach of Dona Ana was 50 meters from the hotel.

“A great value hotel in a beautiful location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

We first visited this hotel three years ago (when we were so overawed by the beauty of the area, we got engaged!). A return visit found the hotel to have a new name and a new look. This place really is excellent for the price you pay - simple, clean accommodation with a balcony and a rooftop pool with a view of the sea. The location by Praia Dona Ana is wonderful too - it's a picturesque and lovely beach with a restaurant that serves great food overlooking it. The only downpoint of our stay was a large group of US backpackers (who'd arrived on tour buses) running up and down the corridors screaming and knocking on doors from 1am - 6am on our final night - just when we needed sleep for a flight! I would have given five stars if it wasn't for that. Other than that it was so lovely though!! Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is also a short walk to Lagos, where you can find shops, restaurants and bars.

The Jam, Three Monkeys, Eddie's and Stones are great bars with great drinks and a great atmosphere. The Wolf's Lair seemed OK at first but the staff had an attitude problem and while the cocktails were cheap they always had the wrong ingredients of them and were as weak as water. We had some great meals at Venezia and two other restaurants on the same street. And near the taxi rank there is a great little restaurant on the corner where the lady serving you works harder than anyone I've ever met - all with a smile on her face and amazing service. The food was amazing too.
