We have just returned from a lovely week in Lagos. It's very much off season so the hotel, restaurants, beaches etc were all very quiet.
We were travelling with our 2.5 yr old daughter and booked a junior suite to have more space. It was a lovely large l-shaped room, with a huge bed, two armchairs and then various other bits of furniture. The balcony was huge, with two swing seat type chairs and a table and two chairs. The rooms were well cleaned every day.
The hotel itself had lots of character. We didn't use the pool, but did manage to swim in the sea; despite it being November!! Breakfast buffet was good, but would have been much improved by fresh orange juice and decent coffee (as, I think, others have said!). The bar looked really nice for chilling out (but unf not an option with a 2.5 yr old!!).
The staff were incredibly friendly; particularly towards our daughter!!
The location of the hotel worked really well for us. It is just over 10 minutes walk to Praia Dona-Ana, the nearest beach, which is absolutely spectacular. And then a similar walk into town. We ate in town every evening at a variety of different restaurants and generally the food was great.
We hired a car for a couple of days, which the hotel staff organised for us via Budget. Really practical as they dropped off and picked up the car from the hotel. They also organised airport transfers. THe only thing was that the airport transfer company provided a booster seat instead of a proper car seat for our daughter. As she's quite tall for her age this wasn't too bad, but a small 2 year old would really have struggled. Hire car provided a proper seat. I would probably take my own in future.
