My daughter and I had an interesting stay at this hotel. We were taken to this hotel as ours was "overbooked". A well positioned hotel just a stones throw from the beach and lovely sea views. The taxi into the centre of Lagos cost 4 euros and the town was very interesting with plenty of shops.
However, it is right next to an enormous building site and we felt that we had shared our holiday with the crane drivers. they started at exactly 8 in the morning and finished around 7 in the evening with a break early afternoon. We could not use our sizeable balcony as it was so noisy and dusty. We got the impression that although the hotel was good , it had been neglected rather ie. cracked hand basin, balcony needed repairs.
but on the whole, if you are able to ignore the noise then a well positioned hotel.
Good beach restaurants close by.

4 stars hotel... yes, but in 2001 :) now it is far away from 4 stars level. Rooms with lot of space, AC worked very well (in my room), small kitchen with fridge. Bathroom also should be renewed... Balkony (huge) with small table and chairs... construction site on the opposite side covered all with yellow dust. Breakfast the same for all 14 days... Beach (beautiful) ca. 300 m from hotel, with two restaurants. Empty only in the evening :) To the city center ca. 2 km. Credit cards were not accepted, so take cash with :) Internet acces in the lobby, swimming pool with bar.
Parking places in front of the hotel. Rooms very clean (3 x week), fresh towels twice a week. We have been there with 5 year old child, he was satisfyied with the pool... Service on a good level.

Total lack of maintenance in evidence. Air conditioning did not work in any part of the Hotel and no remedy forthcoming. This was rated as a 4 star hotel.

Gym = room with carpet, mirror & weights & nothing else.
Gas boiler for hot water - no instructions available on how to light, and evidence of carbon deposits on the outside of boiler.
Cracked sink & tiles in bathroom. Could not use bath as shower/mixer tap broken. Shower worked quite well.

Breakfast not up to 4 star standard i.e. no fresh fruit, only tinned available, no yogurt, no fresh fruit juice, just machine made 'squash'.

Active building site next door.

However, the hotel did have very spacious accommodation, and the staff tried hard to make stay enjoyable but were unable to rectify problems i.e. air conditioning.

we only spent one night in one of the apt. rooms. it was clean but the air conditioner did not work. when we called the front desk to ask if they had fans, they stated didn't need them as we had air conditioners! (I said when they work!) couldn't have a repairman out till the next day- we were checking out by then.- ended up sleeping with the balcony doors open. no volume on tiny tv. couldn't hear it, but we could hear the music piped into the hallways all night long. I wore earplugs to block it out. probably will not return to this particular hotel.
