The Riomar was a great value, to the point that we were concerned about what we would find when we arrived. However the service was friendly and helpful, the room was cheap and clean - and while I was surprised to see some ratings at 3 stars (its more of a 2 star place), it was an exceptional value and we were very happy for the price and service we received.

This hotel has a charming 70's look. It's clean, close to the restaurants and bars, but not noisy. Not far from the beaches.

The riomar is located in the city walls so if you are arriving by car plan you route carefully as parking and driving can be a problem. The staff was helpful in getting us one of the 5 hotel parking spots, we then didn't move the car until we left as finding a spot anywhere near the hotel would have been impossible. The room and bathroom were both a little dated. There was a nice balcony to watch the sun set, but other than that nothing special about the hotel. The breakfast is included but just the standard buns, jam, coffee, and tea. We were not disappointed but we were not overly impressed either.
