The apartments are slightly out of the old town but it's only a 10 minute walk and definitely worth it if you plan on going to the beach a lot. I can imagine it may be a bit hit and miss as to whether you get a good room or not; the place comprises a number of fairly unimaginative blocks and the back ones probably don't have much of a sea view. That said, we got one of the front ones with a large terrace overlooking the sea which was great. The apartment was spacious (got a 2 bed, only booked a studio) and clean with decent furnishing, the place was quiet and the pool was really nice (note that they charge for the sunbeds but there's plenty of grassy area). They were a bit stingy with toilet roll and apparently the Portuguese don't believe in soap but then again it is basically a self catering place and there's a Spar supermarket 5 mins walk away. The complex is directly above Praia Dona Ana which is a great beach. Can imagine it would be busy in peak season but September was fairly quiet. All in, if you can manage a bit of a stroll into town every night, I'd recommend Iberlagos.

The beach and pool area were great, but the apartment needs alot of maintenance.
The dining rooms chairs were broken, the beds so uncomfortable with pillows like bricks.
The overall look of the place is very tired, some apartments looked fantastic but these must be privately owned and lived in. Would not go back to these apartments.

We were lucky as the complex was quiet as out of season. We were given an apartment big enough to suit a family of 5 with a balcony overlooking the pool and beaches beyond. The grounds were kept imaculately and the coplex is ideal for all the coves and nearby beaches. We travelled on a budget and bought groceries from the local supermarket. The kitchen facilties were surprisingly good. Would jump at chance to have same apartment, same week ( block A, end of May ) Hired bikes for a couple of days and saw the nearby Praia de Luz and rented a Kayak one day to see the caves, heaven!!

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Many amenities but they are closed and needing repairs. Emergency service calls go an unanswered. I can go on and on. I am still trying to calm down after dealing with the neglect I experienced in this facility. Daily problems with basic necessaities in what supposed to be above average building. I was in a guesthouse before and had much better time and care. Stay away till the owners of these apartments replace management and then may be there is a chance they will have some business. The place is empty now. Wish I read some of these reviews before making reservations.
