After reading last years reviews we booked this hotel, then the bad ones started.
We arrived at the hotel around lunch time and were told that our room wouldn't be ready till after 2. We where shown where to leave our cases and where we could get changed. This worried me as people had turned up at the hotel and told that there where no rooms. After talking to guest we found that this did happen over the peak season.
We arrived back at the hotel around 3 after having lunch and visiting the beach. Our room was ready and we were handed a key. We where on the 6th floor. We entered the room and found it to be clean and bigger than we expected. It is old fashioned but there is everything we needed. The beds were clean there were plenty of towels and we always had hot water. The towels and sheets were changed ever 2 days.
The pool area was always quiet and there where always plenty of loungers so you could sit in or out of the sun. The pool was freezing which if you dared go in was nice and refreshing after a days sun bathing.
We found the receptionist very helpful. She helped us book trips (which she didn't earn commishion on), with directions and perfecting our Portuguese.
The closes beach is about a 10 minute walk away and the town is about a 15 minute walk down hill. There are restaurants and snack bars closer to the hotel. There is a bar down the road from the hotel called Oasis they have a pool table so this is where we started most of our nights.
We really enjoyed our holiday and didn't want to come home. We would go back to Lagos maybe not to the same hotel but this is only because we would like to stay on the other side of Lagos to experience differant things. For the price we paid for this holiday we couldn't complain everything turned out perfect.
