“Great little apartments just steps away from nicest beaches in the world”

Amazing value here. Cheap price tag for a big, clean, nice apartment unit just two minute walk from the most stunning beaches I will ever see. It's a bit removed from the town of Lagos itself (probably 15-20 minute walk or 5 minute cab) but well worth it to be able to wake up and walk across te street to that incredible scenery. Also a little convenient store right there for all food and drink needs. Try not to get freaked out that the operation is run out of a convenient store cash register. It's a real hidden gem I loved it.

“Excellent for the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

We stayed 2 nights in the 2 bedroom appartment. The gardens, pool and building is very nicely appointed. The tile floors, windows and sliding doors have been updated recently but the furniture is old but functionnal. It was a large appartment ( 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, dining roon and large kitchen) and close to D. Ana beach wich is one of the top 10 beaches in the Algarve. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The owner was quick to fix any problems that we encountered and spoke good English.

Keep in mind that it's not a 5 stars - our appartment was facing the road but it was still cozy since there is a little fence and plants - there was not much traffic

Room Tip: any room should be ok but there is no thick curtains...

“We love the apartment!!”

We stayed at Dona Ana Garden for 4 nights and had a fantastic time there.
Jose, the owner and staff there were so helpful and friendly.
We stayed one night in a the Double room and the rest of the time in 1 bed room apartment I highly recommend the 1 bed room (room 214, 1st floor, a balcony with little sea view which I like!)
Large apartment for 2 people! Comfortable bed and sofa too.
There were English TV channels and also good Wifi.
We used the BBQ located beside the pool, the complex supplied the charcorl.
Relaxed in the swimming pool.
You just need to get condiments if you cook which is quite normal if you stay at a self-catering type apartment.

We didn't have a car but it was easy to get to the town on foot (10-15 mins) and 7mins to the Dona Ana beach .
There is a very nice restaurant called O Briol nearby, we went there 2 nights!

Having a car would be better to look around Lagos but it didn't affect our stay at this lovely apartment! Very good value!!!
There is parking space outside.

We will definitely go back!

“Great close to beach location”

We stayed in two bedroom apartment (T2B) belonging to Dona Ana Garden, but placed separately in a apartment building. The apartment was spacious, nicely organised. One bedroom has one big, comfortable (2x2 meters) bed and the second has two separated beds. The kitchen was well equipped with microwaves, owen etc. During our 10 days stay we had a cleaning service once.
The distance to Dona Ana Garden, where we went to the swimming pool (nice place to relax) and to buy groceries, was about 5 minutes walk, the distance to the beach was about 10 minutes. There are stairs to the beach, but my 1,5 yrs baby managed to go on her feet, so it's not bad The beach itself is amazing.
The walk to walls of the old town is about 10 minutes. The nearest supermarket is about 10 minutes (look for SPARK on your was to the old town). The grocery near Dona Ana is more basic but have a lot of usefull stuff and the prices are fine.
The walk to the main bus station (EVA and RENEX) and train (cp.pt) is about 35 minutes. One of the closest bus station (ONDA company) was by the beach.

Room Tip: If you want more privacy I must say that staying in a T2B aparment is a good choice. It's closer...

“Great location, basic room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2011

We stayed in Dona Ana Garden for 3 night this summer. The one bedroom apt was part of a small residential complex with a swimming pool and BBQ area. It is located right next to the turn down to the Dona Ana beach (reception is the gsmall grocery shop at the thop of the road) so it is easy to find and there is no problem with parking (parking space behind the building). Dona Ana Beach and Camilo Beach (with a lovely restaurant O Camilo) are located just 5-10min walk and it is 15 min walk to the centre of Lagos. Location is great, because it is situated in a quiet area but the night life is not too far away either. The exterior of Dona Ana Garden is lovely but the room itself was very basic. We missed a kitchen area where we could prepare our meals and it could have been equipped better as well. The bed was a little bit hard and walls are very thin so we could hear everything from surrounding rooms. The furniture was old (could smell its odour in the room) and towels had been used so many times that had holes in them.
To summarize, the room was not very expensive so we got what we paid for, although we expected a little bit more. It is a basic beach accommodation in a great location, close to the beautiful Dona Ana beach. It is Ok to spend 2-3 nights there, but I don't think we would book a week there.
We had a very pleasant staying in Lagos, but it was because Lagos is a beautiful place.
