Stayed here for one nght as our flight came in late and we weren't picking up the hire car until the following morning. (Only 5Eu cab fare from airport to hotel)
The room was recently refurbished, comfortable and clean. No frills, but for the £35.00 price I wasn't expecting any!
Enjoyed a drink in the bar - cheap prices!
Breakfast was basic but fine. The breakfast room is stuck somewhere circa 1984 (as are some of the public areas)
Asked at Reception about cabs to the airport and they offered us a free ride in their courtesy bus - Result!
Will definitely use this hotel again in the future.

we stayed here 4 nights and and can have no complaints about the monaco hotel. ensuite room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was substantial, which helped set us up for the day ahead. Hotel also has a reasonable bar and outdoor swimming pool which although small is in a nice setting. Overall, this hotel was good value,quiet location (2 miles from centre of Faro) and only a 6 euro taxi fare from airport.

We arrived late at the night and were told there were no double rooms on the front side of the hotel (only side with balconies) but were told to return tomorrow and we could change, which we did the next day easily. The staff were also very helpful at locating attraction for us and all had good english.

The room itself is quite dated but cleaned daily, comfortable bed and the aircon is included in the price. However the carpet was quite dirty and stained and there was no way of locking the balcony door that is accessable from adjacent balconies.

The bathroom fairs better being marble, well lit, spacious with fresh towels and a good shower.

The pool is small but was never crowded, however by late afternoon the sun is restricted to only one corner of the outdoor space.

Breakfast is located in the basement which was a little odd but meant it was cool. The continental style breakfast was varied including bread rolls, croissants, scrambled eggs, frankfurters (strange), cereal, yoghurt, fruit etc. However it was more quantity over quality with the fruit juice being squash and as mentioned the frankfurters.

Location wise the main thing we were worried about was the proximity to the airport, however we did not hear a plane once during the entire weeks long stay! there is also a bustop 50 yards away that means you are halfway between the bach and Faro town.

Overall a decent hotel with good staff (pushing the rating up from a 3 to a 4) as long as you have a car/don't mind the bus!

The hotel was very easy to find and just a couple kilometers from the Faro airport. Very clean but basic rooms. Quiet location with no barking dogs. The breakfast offered basic selection of cold cuts and beverages but no fresh vegetables. Very unpleasant surprise for our daughter was that the outside pool was "under service" and would have been opened later that day. It looked out that the pool wasn't in use at all - so forget it!

However, if you are travelling from or to Faro, this hotel is a good choice to stay your first or last night in Portugal.
