We stayed here for one night only on our way to a destination in the western Algarve. It's a typical Ibis hotel -- clean, comfortable, very small rooms, very helpful staff. The 6 euro breakfast was very good.

Excellent hotel with a pool which is unusual for Ibis. Plenty of sunbeds. Good location can walk to Forum Algarve in 15 mins, albeit along a very narrow path next to the dual carriageway. Very handy for the airport, taxi around 7-8 Euros.
Very friendly staff. Food is the only let-down, 24 hour snack menu only.

IBIS FARO HOTEL - just like pretty much all IBIS hotels with all the basic facilities you need for a short stopover. Staff extremely helpful, ability to check Faro Airport Flight status etc at side of reception without needing to fire up your own kit. Food basic but okay. Book in advance for really good price. About 4 minutes drive from Avis, Auto Jardim and all the other larger care hire bases, 6 minutes to airport parking. Additional bonus is that this hotel is very easy to find being just off the main road with clear signage.

When we finally arrived after a long journey up from the west coast we were disappointed to find we were unable to make tea or coffee in the room. The room was very small and uncomfortable with a small window that would not open properly. It was relatively clean overall although there was an unpleasant odour throughout the whole hotel. The pool area was completely closed for refurbishment although we had not been advised of this when booking the accommodation. Breakfast was very disappointing. The fruit juices had been watered down and the tea and coffee provided were not to our taste. We booked the hotel as it was fairly near to the airport for an early departure but we kept getting woken by other guests slamming their doors on their way out so we didn't get much sleep. Another time I would stay further away from the airport and drive in earlier instead.
