We are a family of 4, 2 children aged 11 and 10. This was our first visit to Portugal but we really enjoyed it - even if we did get lost on countless occasions! The Gama Clube Apartments are located just outside the bustling resort of Carvoeiro yet within only 10 minutes by car. It was bliss going back to the apartments which were lovely and quiet.

The children absolutely loved the pool area which is in 3 stages each pool deeper than the next. There are only 18 apartments so it was never busy yet the children made friends. There is a small play area for children wiht swings and well cared for gardens. There is an office on site and the manager Ana is absolutely lovely - so helpful and speaks perfect English like most Portuguese. She sold tickets to the main attractions at a discount and was helpful regarding restaurants, etc.

The apartments themselves are not luxurious but are clean (cleaners visit each morning Mon-Fri), sheets are changed midweek as are towels. The kitchen is well equipped with all you will need including fridge and washing machine. The only thing it lacked was air conditioning but excellent shutters kept the sun out in the day. We would definitely visit again!
