Though I have to admit that the park is on the verge of getting outdated (staff; be aware of this), I can honestly say that we have had a terrific time here. We stayed in a 2 bedroom bungalow which was spacious and clean and with all the utensils present. We also had room service.

The swimming pool is nice (but beware of people draping their towels on the deckchairs as some kind of reservation; staff does not do anything about this), the restaurants provide a cosy atmosphere and there is plenty of animation to keep children occupied.

Beaches are a 15 minute walk from the park as well as Carvoeiro (a romantic and pleasant sea side village). People sometimes complain about the walk as you go downhill to Carvoeiro but you have to walk uphill back to the park. We did not care as it is a lovely walk past the coastline, restaurants and Portuguese houses. Also, in the evening the temperature cools down to about 17 degrees C (July/August).

Staff provide service with a smile. We will stay here again.

Had a lovely time here although I do think it was slightly mis-sold by either their own website or booking.com with whom I made the booking. Quinta do Paraiso is a sprawling complex that is made up mostly of beautiful privately owned villas. At the back of the complex are several blocks of apartments which were basic and functional and very clean - apart perhaps from the bed cover. This area has it's own swimming pool which is great. I got there quite late at night and when I picked up the key from 'reception' was given directions to the apartment. Luckily I had a car as it was a good 15min walk away, which, when it's dark, you're on your own and you don't know where you're going would have been a bit of trek. All this said, it cost €200 for the week so I feel quite petty complaining about anything. Oh - it's also about a 15min walk from Carvoeiro.

whole complex spotless,well tended gardens and pool areas with plenty of free sun loungers.maid service 5/7 days with towels and linen changed almost every other day.reception staff speak excellent english,are very friendly and helpful.one bedroom apartment was adequate but we found the dark wood furniture a bit dreary but air conditioning was great.15 minute stroll down to town which is one of the prettiest I have visited....plenty of bars and restaurants but not rowdy.It's a fair uphill hike back to base but trial and error finds best route... or a taxi is less than 5 euros .will definitely return to Carveiro and likely to this complex.

we stayed in the apartments which are the furthest away from reception,shop & restaurant. We preferred this as you have a pool for the apartments which is quite big & not so busy as the main pool. Downside is that you miss out on the entertainment? Mini golf not good, table tennis ok,but down in the main centre. Quite a walk into Carvoeiro, about 15 - 20 mins but its all downhill. Get a taxi back!!
Apartment was very large (ground floor) with terrace. Air con good and in both bedroom & living room. Kitchen much better than most holiday apartments. We all had a great holiday - very relaxing
