We stayed a few years ago and it is still wonderful. A little oasis of calm and tranquility and a lovely pool area with plenty of beds and fabulous sea views. The Algar seco is also so convenient for the town with its beach, shops and bars. There are other restaurants even closer so you do not need a car unless you want to explore other beaches or see a little more of the country or other attractions, although taxis seem very reasonable and coaches can be arranged for the water park etc. Reception staff are very friendly and only too willing to make sure you have everything you need to make it a lovely holiday. Superb cliff top location with gardens, pools and a good bar/restaurant and 20 minutes walk to the town centre. Excellent apartment with good equipment and furnishings, beautifully maintained daily by the maid.
Very friendly and helpful reception staff.
We've stayed in Carvoeiro several times, but this place is the best we've found.

We had a wonderful time in Algar Seco. It came recommended from a colleague and we were not disappointed. We stayed for ten days in September and did not want to come home. It was everything we had hoped for a nice relaxing holiday.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The apartment was lovely and spacious. We had a two bed and two bathroom and a well appointed kitched and balcony. The whole place was absolutely spotless and the maids called every day to clean. the furniture is traditional style but very comfortable and homely. The beds were also comfortable, and the kitchen had everything you need and more. The website does not do them justice.

We stayed at the pool every day and relaxed. We had lunch in the Bistro bar on most days and the food was really delicious and a lovely menu and great service. We had breakfast one day which wasn't great and a bit overpriced but every other day we had breakfast in our apartment.

Most people staying in Algar Seco are German, Dutch and some English. We seemed to be the only Irish, but that didn't bother us.

The pool area is lovely and relaxing, nice and quiet with views over the ocean and just watching the boats go by. We didn't need to be anywhere else. The actual pool was lovely and clean and we swam every day.

Algar Seco is only minutes walk to the bars and restaurants of Corveiro. It is a lovely little town with just enough of everything to keep you occupied. About three minutes walk out the gate, either right or left and you are on the main strip. There is plenty to chose from and we didn't have one bad meal. The beach in the town is a very gentle ten minute walk along the coastal road. Algar Seco is very accessible. We did not need transport to go anywhere.

We booked a transfer from Faro with resorthoppa. We had a slight wait going to and from the airport but it wasn't a major delay and it was well worth the money for the convenience.

All in all it was a wonderful holiday. I could not find one sigle fault. It was exactly as a holiday should be.

we have returned to algar seco parque every year since 2004 and are already sorting out our reservations for next year. the complex is in the perfect spot, on the fringe of the village giving you a gentle stroll to the many restaurants & the village beach but just far enough out to be noise free. there are fantastic sea views from the various villas, bungalows & apartments that we have stayed in over the years and you get the same stunning view from the pool and restaurant area. the staff in the reception & the restaurant make you feel so welcome and are so helpful that we just can't fault the service. algar seco parque is our idea of a perfect relaxing holiday
