Stayed in Sept 11 and would return without hesitation. Very reasonably priced accommodation. We rented 2 adjoining apts on the first floor for 2 couples. Apt was well equipped and spacious with a good size balcony. Air con only in the bedroom, but fan in the lounge was adequate. Each apt has shutters, which kept out the heat, whilst we were out in the day.
Nice pool with plenty of sunbeds - each apt has it's own cushions and umbrellas, which you take out with you-this certanly cut down on the sunbed "reserving"!!! Plenty of green areas, which gave the complex a pleasant feel.
The complex is outside Armacao de Pera in Alpochinos. The long walk, downhill, into A de Pera, along the main road is okay, but unnecessary as the minibus runs there regularly - reception will give you a timetable. I think that the minibus carries 7 people, but the driver comes back and forth, until everyone is picked up, so no need to worry or push in!!!!
All staff were great with the exception of one receptionist - you'll recognise her immediately if you're unlucky enough to come across her - she's not interested - so go back later and see someone else - the rest of them are helpful and pleasant!
Plenty of restaurants round and about-Indian, Italian and traditional - reception will help with directions. The restaurant on the complex is very good, with prices/dishes to suit all pockets. The fish platter is enormous-you've been warned!! A local couple run the restaurant on a lease basis and they couldn't be more helpful. They are also responsible for the little shop-great breakfast rolls.
We witnessed the karaoke and live music nights, on our way in and out, on the respective evenings-not for me, but each to their own! The participants appeared to be enjoying themselves!!!
Inter Marche supermarket about 10 mins walk away-it has a cafe/bar which served snacks and drinks at very reasonable prices. We regularly took a cold beer before wandering back with the shopping!
This complex would not be good for folk that wish to be entertained, but for those who like to relax and entertain themselves it's perfect.
Would happily return and recommend to others.

A lovely stay towards the end of the season. A pity more people did not make use of the bar and restaurant.

The Intermarche supermarket is a short stroll away. This supermarket is very well stocked.

There are many excellent restaurants near the supermarket, and near the beachfront. Fresh fish, whilst very nice can be pricey - best ask the price before ordering.

We booked this holiday last minute, flying from a local airport, with an excellent price. We travelled the first week of October and celebrated our wedding annivesary here. We were so impressed with this resort considering what you pay. The apartment had everything we could want, including a lot of applicances and crockery you wouldn't get in more expensive places (a bottle opener was a highlight!). Immaculately clean, and very comfy, with English chanels on the tv! We had a lovely balcony area that was in the sun and could watch the sun set. I have seen some complaints on here about karaoke, we stayed very close to the reception/bar area and were never bothered by noise so not really sure what this was about. The apartment was 10 mins from a very good supermarket, 10 mins from a beautiful beach and some stunning restaurants were near by, in particular two very good ones on the way to the supermarket Mirasys and el gerhador were exceptonal. We defintely would like to return to this resort.

Stayed her in October 2011 for a week with my family. We had requested adjoining apartments, ground floor and that's what we were given! Apartments lovely and spacious with open views to the sea - gorgeous! Very quiet, but it was towards the end of season, so not bothered! Bar one receptionist who couldn't be bothered, all the staff were friendly and helpful. Nice big pool, but too cold for me! Didn't eat in the restaurant, so can't comment on it. The bar seemed OK, but for the music! It was turned down on request and kept down for the rest of our stay.
On the whole the apartment was well equipped except for the out of date, impossible to use can opener! Beds a bit on the hard side.

The Intermarche is about 10 mins away, but the mini market has the basics and lovely morning rolls! The beach is about 10 mins away downhill, but nice. We did eat at the restaurant there and it turned out to be very expensive! 100 euros for 5 of us (which included a child) Main cost was the fish shared by 2 people - 46 euros!

We used Algarve365 for transfers and they were excellent! Provided booster seat and baby car seat without any extra charge.
