Just a bog standard hotel and if you're off on a cheaply holiday, what more could you ask for.
The staff weren't overly friendly but I've met worse. The room was pretty standard but clean. Bathroom was ok (a bit errr.. but fairly clean and you get used to it after a while).
Hotel pool wasn't too bad either.
Location was great and there were a lot of lovely restaurants very close by with plenty of choice including Italian, Japanese, some fantastic local food etc etc. A decent size supermarket or two close by also. The beach in Oura was lovely! The Oura 'strip' with bars was a little 'brits abroad' but easily avoidable. Taxi's to and from Albufeira old town were very reasonable, as was the public transport.
Overall a pretty good stay!

We stayed at Santa Eulalia late October 2011, a week before the hotel closed for the end of season. It was a 'girly' holiday and for four girls sharing two rooms over 4 days the hotel provided exactly what we needed. Our rooms were very spacious, with a small balcony, and cleaned every day, however, towels are not changed and we used the same ones for the duration of our stay. The pool and garden areas are lovely and were very quiet during our stay so there were plenty of sun loungers available! Staff were polite and accommodating although we really didn't have much to do with them.

We didn't eat at the hotel or drink at the bar (bar staff are extremely friendly and welcoming), and there wasn't much available anyway - this due to being end of season and not very busy, which was fine for us as we ate at Teasers a couple of times - 30 seconds walk, to the right of the hotel and very nice, inexpensive food! We took the 10 minute taxi journey to the Old Town a couple of times and also walked the 10 minutes to the 'Strip' every night where there are ample places to eat and drink.

All in all a good place to stay and I would love to see what it's like in peak season!

We recently stayed at Santa Eulalia and were very impressed. The rooms are basic but nice, the pool area was very nice, and it's location is brilliant: only 5 minutes walk to a nice beach and 10 minutes maximum to the main strip. I didn't think the staff were particularly friendly, but that doesn't matter much to me if the hotel itself good. Excellent value for money overall!

having been to santa eulalia beach club for the past 6-7 years i dont know how anybody can knock this hotel it has a beautifull pool and garden area the staff are very friendly and helpfull you are only ten minutes from the strip if thats what you want if not you are only ten mins by taxi to the old town ,the bars in the area are great especially the rockline bar owned by eddie cheap beer good snacks during the day and plenty of sport if you want it ,there are allso many other bars and restaurents inthe immediate area that are good to eat and drink,.i am going back again next year having just returned great place to go
