If no room service for three days, 2 small cushion type pillows between three people and unhelpful staff is your idea of a special holiday experience then the BALAIA PLAZA HOTEL is the accomodation for you.My wife,teenage son and I were due to spend a relaxing ten days at the Balaia sadly we lasted just three. On arrival we requested some extra pillows only to be greeted by laughter from reception and "we will see what we can do" further requests to housekeeping and reception staff also fell on deaf ears.The rooms though large are very tired and in need of refurbishment.There is no courtesy bus despite the welcome pack advising guests to contact reception for bus times.When asked reception said that there was no courtesy bus and that its inclusion on the web and in the welcome pack "had been a mistake". This is a tired old hotel which may have once been 4 star when noah abd his family stayed as guests,book at your peril,you have been warned.

We stayed here last weekend, got a very good price and for that got a large apartment with large balcony that would easily hold four. the furniture is not new and shows some signs of wear but it is all useable and fine for what we needed.

A few previous reviews have complained of no English channels on the TV, we had BBC1 and a channel that showed English/US shows but with sub titles so it was fine to watch.

The pool area was not really open yet and we had the pool to ourselves which was great in the nice weather.

The hotel is at least a 15 minute walk to where the bars etc are but we had no problem with that.

Overall for our short stay it was an ideal base and I would have no problem staying there again.

The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are kept clean and tidy on a regular basis. The children in our group loved the pool. Its very quiet and peaceful but the downside is there is no entertainment. The beach is a steep walk and i would not reccomend this to anyone who is disabled or unable to walk very far like somebody who was on holiday with us in the group.
The hotel is very out the way from everything so a taxi into Albuferia would be advised.

Very dissapointed in the hotel .On our first day we had to change our room 3 times.The first one had a broken balcony door,the 2nd one was very dirty.Finally the 3rd one was okay.The t.v. had no english speaking channels,which after asking about that was told that they had no intention of fixing it..The reception desk clerks were not very helpfull.The apt. itself was very nice although the furniture was very dated. No hotel shuttle was available .Also when we booked we were told that there was a restraunt in the hotel.but there wasnt.The hotel grounds were in a poor condition.We will definatly not be going back to this hotel .
