arrived to find a friendly english speaking receptionist. the apartment was spacious with a lovely bath/shower. very clean with towels provided. pool was sparkling clean, plenty of sun loungers and some very friendly cats. one ginger one had been in the wars (bless him)....look out for a moggy with a wonky head and funny eye...he is hilarious and likes ham!

thoroughly recommend as a good value place to stay in a very central location, though quiet enough to chill round the pool. no traffic noise and 2 mins from intermarche. brava!

arrived back today from these apartments with mixed views. The apartments themselves were great, just been done up, very large, with seperate kitchen and large balcony. The main problem was the reception only opened certain hours and of coarse we arrived outside these hours! None speaking english staff and the bar which never opened once even though its high season! ther was 1 day (saturday) when 2 blokes stood by the pool selling lager with a portable radio and called it a beer party! no entertainment which we didnt mind because we went for a long weekend break. overall a nice base for a long weekend but not for families or anyone wanting to be entertained. Oh and the lads next door partied til 4am on a daily basies!!!!!!! something which is pot luck, but after complaining twice without success found out they were the relatives of the guy on reception! the apartments like i say were great, but beware if going in high season there no air con!

Found these apartments to be terrible. Have never left any comments on this website but would hate for people to go here with the wrong reviews. We arrived at 11:30pm and the reception was closed, even though there was an emergency number which we called several times there was no answer, we left numerous messages and a note but did not recieve a call back. On calling the number again at 6am we finally checked in. With no apology or explaination. We had gone to the resturante next door to ask for help and the receptionist whom lives in the apts came done and seen our note at 11:35pm with 2 mobile numbers on it and choose not to call us. First impression on the apt was that it was spacious with large balconies. The apt was dirty with dirty furniture, fility dirty shower curtain, and dirty uncleaned extermely basic swiming pool. On Wednesday we checked out 4 days early and where not asked by reception why were were leaving early or if there was a problem. These apartments are by no means 3 star accomodation I have stayed in better hostels than this. This really but a dampner on the holiday as we could and did not relax until we moved. We moved to the Oceanus which I would highy recommend. With Paula on reception being so helpful and nice. I would advise anyone to go to Olhos de Agua as it is beautiful but not to stay in Olhos do Mar.

We booked the Olhos Do Mar as a last minute, nowhere else to go type of holiday and were dubious as we had no knowledge of the area etc. However, we were very pleased to have been staying at the Olhos Do Mar. As the previous reviewer stated, there is still a qaintness about Olhos D'Agua, which is a far cry from 'the strip' of Albufeira! The resort does exactly what it says on the tin - a fishing village with an old Portugal feel, providing a relaxing holiday with the lively Albufeira Old Town a short taxi ride away (around 5 Euros).
The apartments are above basic, although in need of a cosmetic re-vamp. We found our studio apartment was equipped with a full size cooker, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, toaster and kettle. The cleaners came every day apart from Sunday and we seemed to have clean towels almost every day too. The receptionist was fantastic with a good grasp of English and very helpful. The beach is a short 10 minute walk away and there are a number of restaurants, bars and shops en route. The locals favouring Du-Arte which is right next to Olhos Do Mar apartments. We also found a great English bar/restaurant called the Galleon if you’re missing your home comforts.
Our only criticism with the resort itself was the availability of taxis – you can wait for up to an hour of an evening and the buses aren’t too reliable. The receptionist will call a taxi, but it’s a gamble as to whether the taxi company answer the phone or not.
All in all, we would definitely stay here again!
