We have just returned from 14 days staying in the Flora Da Laranja. The appartment we stayed in was a 2 bed /lounge kitchen area, small but sufficient and kept in a very clean condition whilst we were there. Two pools and three bar-b-q areas with a laundry room fully equipped. For us it was perfect spent most of the days by the pool pretty much alone, a very peaceful stay with just the cockerels to wake you in the morning. This is not a place for those looking for dancing drinking and plenty of noise. You most definitely need a car if these are the things you are looking for on holiday. We found the Portuguese owners to be very friendly and got very attached to their two dogs. We will definitely return.

Pool area very clean and tidy - Water cold but bearable
Basic but adequate facilities
No air conditioning but could sleep fine at night with all windows closed in May
Airy if you left windows open (but with some road noise)
Slidable fly screens over most windows. Not too may nibbly things - but take something
if you have fair skin
Definately need a hire car as it is remote from most places
Triple glazing in bedroom worked well to cut down traffic noise from the busy road nearby
Plenty of hot (solar) water for showers
Difficult to find in the dark if it is your first visit
Take enough provisions for tea/coffee / snack whn you get there - paricularly if
arriving early or late

Was being looked after by couple from London. Vey friendly and good source of local advice

Stayed here in Jul/Aug, had a super time. Rather basic facilities, but lovely & clean. Area around the pool/gardens nice & peaceful and very well maintained, with the barbecue an added bonus if you wanted to cook yourselves. A hire car is a must to travel around. Did plenty of sightseeing. Beach @ falesia excellent, although a steep climb up & down each day.!

A place to be recommended, Hope to return in 2006.
