The Sheraton Pine Cliffs is the sort of place that is covers all the bases well, but without truly excelling at anything. The resort has beach access, and just outside the compound are a set of restaurants, so you don't need to eat at the expensive hotel restaurants all the time, nor do you need a car to dine out. The golf course is a 9-hole (golfinportugalguide.com/golf_courses/sheraton_pine_cliffs.html), but an interesting and challenging one for it.

Last year I ended up by pure chance at the Sheraton Pine Cliffs resort. It was my first date with my girl friend and although it was far more money than I was willing to spend it was the most incredible place and we loved every second.

This year I decided as a surprise to take my girlfriend again as a present to her for putting up with me. There is nothing I can complain about with the staff, hotel or breakfast. Intact all three are amazing. The staff are wonderful and work incredibly hard from what I could tell.
Value for money defiantly for what I spent on the room.

However this must be where it ends sadly the hotel overcharges for everything else from a bottle of water that I later found in a supermarket for 0.60 and e hotel had the cheek to charge guests 5.50. The food this year was sadly not unto the standard we experienced last year and it seems the prices here have gone up too. In the two days and nights we spent there I had to spend 550 euros on food and we are not big drinkers. I did inform management of the awful food we received at their Piri Piri restaurant and they offered me a refund however the staff had been so great that I couldn't accept. I sincerely hope they manage to sort the kitchen staff at piri piri as the food is usually very good but on this occasion it seems those kitchen staff would rather stand around chatting whilst they had 100 or more people sitting waiting for food ... Sometimes upto 30 minutes between courses which there where five of... And only one was edible.

I am not sure if we will go again as we like to relax and spend time in the resort but the prices are just too high now costing a total of 1000 euros for two days.

I was there in the beginning of August 2011 for one week, and when l left I forgot two ware pieces in the apartment. I complain immediately in the next day and I was told by the management that they did not found nothing (I AM SURE ABOUT WHAT I LEFT AND WHERE I LEFT IT), explaining that the hotel did not have any responsibility about belongings forgotten in the rooms, apartments and public areas of the resort (!!!!) and hat they had all confidence in the cleaning staff of the hotel...
And what about confidence in the client???!!!
UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR IN SUCH A QUALITY SHERATON MANAGED FACILITIES AS THERE ARE (5 STARS THEY SAY!!!).

I have visited this resort three times before with business colleagues for a bit of RR but
this is the first time I have been with family so rented a luxury villa in the ever expanding grounds.
Villa and pool first class. On the first day I showed my sons ( 17 and 20) around the facilities
of golf gym spa beach 5 pools football pitch etc and after that we hardly saw them .
Never heard " I am bored " once. My wife and I played golf three times everything very well
organised when ever my 80 year old mother in law wanted to meet us for lunch they willingly supplied a buggy to transport her from the villa to the post golf restaurant we were in . In fact the service was excellent through out our stay. I really liked the new Peri Peri restaurant by the entrance the food was excellent. Our children and there mates
often wandered down to the strip of restaurants opposite the entrance to the resort
and went to the Pizza joint .

Great for a family holiday especially in a villa as you can use all the hotel facilities and pay one bill at the end .
