Attractive, low-rise block very close to the sea. Ample car park, so not too far to carry cases to apartment. Ours was in furthest block to right, above (upper) pool. Spacious apartment, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms (small difference between price for one and two beds, worth paying extra - we were couple with two kids, aged 2 and 4), smallish kitchen (least favourite part, see below) and decent-sized living/dining room with flatscreen TV showing British channels (BBC, Sky News).
Good points:
Large rooms, loads of cupboard space - fitted cupboards all along walls of bedrooms.
Huge balcony along front of whole apartment, overlooking pools with stunning view through trees down to sea, well equipped with table and chairs, sunloungers and parasol.
Small pool for kids, good for little ones who can't swim yet and just want to jump in and out. Two adult pools, with cafe serving simple food - snacks.
Reception - very helpful, loads of books to borrow, and lots of information about local attractions, activities. Stacks of leaflets.
Bad points:
Some decor very outdated and naff - yellowing plastic shelves and matching loo seat in urgent need of replacing.
In kitchen, huge water-heater whose casing took up half the counter space. No cloths, washing-up liquid, rubbish bags. Tiny kitchen bin. Kettle, coffee-maker provided, but poor quality. Annoying swing-doors (Wild West saloon-style) to kitchen, so bash into them every time you go in or out.
Wooden sliding doors to balcony very stiff and hard to open.
Furniture - in bedroom, bamboo table with loose glass panel - deathtrap for kids.
On our first day, kids' pool was filthy - very murky water, with scum floating - yuck!
Money had been spent on installing a snazzy glass lift in the block where we were staying, very impressive and modern, but this could have been MUCH better spent on updating the apartments themselves, and modernising the decor.
Having said all this, the location is superb, being very close to the beach and the central street with restaurants and bars (no need to drive when you go out to dinner) reached by steps going down from next to the apartments. Beach has loads of rock pools and caves at low tide, heaven for kids to explore, although not great for swimming. Olhos de Agua restaurant (recommended by friendly Dutch receptionist) excellent, though not cheap. Also went to bar nearby with live singer, cocktails.
I would recommend this place - the criticisms are more for the management, than reasons not to go there!
