Great base for daytrips to the surrounding area and villages, either by car or nature walks. Breathtaking view, confortable lodging for a reasonable price. Meals are not so great for the price.

We stayed here for 2 nights in February. Getting to the pousada was a bit exciting as the streets are very narrow and you have to do a 180 to get to the parking lot after dropping off your luggage.

The pousada was well run with very courteous staff. Sipping a drink while overlooking the countryside around is very nice. The food was good, and the room was well maintained.

Marvao itself is lovely, with the castle, gardens, fountains and views at sunset. It's a great place to relax, just walking through town, if you are on a fairly hectic trip.

This place is amazing! Rooms are confortable and well decorated, staff is very friendly and helpful and breakfast is varied and plentiful. Ah, and the views from the restaurant are breath taking!

This is a great to recharge batteries! We'll surely be back in the future.

Piusada was very nie. Service ovall a bit slow but friendly. Food very good in restaurant. Overall though,the town was the star. Marvoa is amazing - a truly stunning town with views only to be admired but never equalled. Wonderful vistas all round and, despite the touristy focus of the town, never felt ripped off. If I had known of Marvao when considering engagement would have waited till here for proposal! Smitten...
