Room and breakfast were ok, but I would rather rate them 3 star instead the official 4 star rating of the hotel. NO free WIFI, it was charged 3 euros/hour (ie. 72 euros a day).

Good location just outside of the walls of the old town.

Very disappointed with this hotel. We stayed 3 nights and it was painful. I couldn't sleep most of the time because of the very poor soundproofing. We could hear people talking in the other room. Lots of plumbing (and weird) noises all night long... Also, our room was very, very small, cleanliness was only ok, the carpet was old, and the hotel is not well located! We had to walk 15 minutes (at least) to get to the historic centre of Evora. I don't know where the pictures from their website come from, but I didn't see anything like it once on location. It is NOT a 4 four hotel...that's for sure!

Good points: breakfast was good and very diversify, and there's a Pingo Doce (grocery store) only 3 minutes away if you need anything. But that's all.

Choose another hotel. No matter what, I'm sure It won't be worst than this one...

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for about a year ago, when we visited a friend and her family who lived here.
Albergaria Vitoria is outside the walls of the city but as Evora is a small city you aren't very far from everything.
The building was simple but ok, with nothing to say.
The receptionist who receive us was a very weird guy, who did one of the most bizarre and hilarious receptions of our life until now.
Our room was in 3th floor and in despite of the hotel had a lot of rooms we stayed always with the feeling that we were the only guests of the place because during the two days we didn´t see anyone there.We start to make fun of that told everyone that we were at the Shinning hotel. LOL
The rooms decor were very old fashioned, the furniture was, perhaps, from the 70's/80's.
The room was small, but it was clean and decent as the toilet as well. It did the job, but we didn't falling in love for it.
The bar in the 4th floor had the same old fashioned decor. The place was big but maybe a little bit crowded by tables and chairs. The view was nice.
After all, we can say Albergaria Vitoria it's a four stars hotel with the service and accommodations of a two stars.
It's decent but definitely you can find a best place to stay for the same price in Evora.

The hotel is very nice but a bit far from the city center. Although a 4 star hotel it didn't have the mini-bars installed and TV channel selection was poor. The hotel was nicely decorated with antiques and it has a great restaurant in the basement with a nice wine selection, good food, and great atmosphere.
